Have you ever gotten lost in the forest?
There’s something exciting and even a little magical about walking unfamiliar paths and taking turns based on faith. Relying on your internal compass to lead you straight to where you’re meant to be.
When we set out looking for the “Secret” Italian Rose Garden at Maudslay State Park during Leah and Alex’s engagement session, we had no idea it’d be so hard to find. It’s not actually a secret as it’s listed on all the maps and there are trails that go straight there (we didn’t take those). But when you do happen to get lost in the name of adventure (and photo opps), it feels secretive after all.
It’s also completely worth it and anything worth having doesn’t come easy. Including pretty gardens in the middle of nowhere. 😉
What better place to snuggle away from prying eyes than a beautiful courtyard in the middle of a forest?
And who better to be there with than two people who, in a world of billions, followed their compass until they found home. <3
A million thank yous to Devin Brown of Fleur and Stitch for helping me surprise this sweet couple with such a colorful and unique bouquet! I cannot wait to see what she comes up with for their wedding!
